Daily precautions for laser welding equipment

Apr 20,2023 | TOPTEK

1. The laser system of the laser equipment is water-cooled, and the laser power supply is air-cooled. Do not start the machine if the cooling system fails.
2. The circulating cooling water of the laser equipment is deionized water (preferably distilled water), which is replaced every two months in summer and every three months in autumn, winter and spring.

3. Pay attention to keeping the workplace environment clean, including regular inspections of hygiene, temperature, temperature, and optical devices.
4. Remember not to face the YAG laser with your eyes when the machine is working, so as not to cause laser damage, and you should wear laser protective glasses when working.

5. When the machine is working, the circuit is in a state of high voltage and high current. Non-professionals are not allowed to carry out maintenance and inspection when starting the machine to avoid electric shock accidents. The power supply and laser should be well grounded.
6. When the machine is not working, it should be shut down immediately, power off, water off, and the machine should be sealed to prevent dust from entering the laser and optical system.
7. In addition to adjusting the output energy of the laser and the optical path of the whole machine, a new power supply should be replaced to eliminate the fault.

8. If the equipment has water leakage, arcing, insurance, abnormal noise of the laser and other faults, the power should be cut off immediately.
9. When the overvoltage and overcurrent indicators are on, stop the machine immediately.
10. Laser equipment cannot be disassembled at will, and professionals should be notified of major failures.
