When the focus is in a better position, the kerf is the smallest, the efficiency is higher, and the best cutting speed of the stainless steel laser cutting machine can obtain better cutting results.
Focus position adjustment: Since the density of laser power has a great influence on the cutting speed, the selection of the focal length of the lens is also an important issue. The spot size of the focused laser beam is proportional to the focal length of the lens. After the beam is focused by a short focal length lens, the spot size is small, and the power density at the focal point is very high, which is very beneficial to cutting materials; but its disadvantage is that the focal depth is very short and the adjustment margin is small, and it is generally suitable for high-speed cutting of thin materials. cutting. Since the telephoto lens has such a large depth of focus, as long as there is sufficient power density, it is suitable for cutting thick workpieces.
After determining which focal length lens to use, the relative position of the focal point and the workpiece surface is particularly important to ensure the cutting quality. Due to the high power density at the focal point, in most cases the focal point position is just at or slightly below the workpiece surface. Therefore, ensuring that the relative position of the focal point and the workpiece is constant throughout the cutting process is an important condition for obtaining stable cutting quality. Sometimes the lens heats up due to poor cooling during work, resulting in changes in the focal length, which requires us to adjust the focus position in time.
When the focus is in a better position, the slit is the smallest and the efficiency is higher. The better the cutting speed of the stainless steel laser cutting machine, the better the cutting effect can be obtained. In most applications, the focus of the beam should be adjusted to just below the nozzle, and the distance between the nozzle of the stainless steel laser cutting machine and the surface of the workpiece is generally about 1.5mm.
